ACCOMMODATION OPPORTUNITIES AND HOW TO REACH THE VENUE

Some hotels and B&Bs with average prices (per double room per night, breakfast included) are below. Please, double check the prices when making your reservation. Please note that the accommodations within reasonable walking distance from the conference venue include this info in parentheses.

For all other accommodations (and if you prefer not to walk), you can
use public transport: buses 21, 3, 6, and 7 will take you directly to the university from anywhere in the city centre or the river area, including the Old Pescara neighbourhood.

These buses depart approximately every 10/12 minutes in daytime. From the bus stop located in front of Pescara’s central train station (which is the most convenient one for those staying at Hotel Ambra, Alba, Plaza, and B&B Maison Fleurie), the bus ride to the university usually takes around 15/20
minutes. However, always consider there could be intense traffic in the morning resulting in a longer ride.

For those staying at all other places, the bus ride should be even shorter.
Bus tickets cost approximately €1.20 and can be purchased in any tobacconist’ shop across the city: you can ask your hotel manager for the ones closest to you, but rest assured that you can find one in any street. You can also buy them from the ticket dispenser located at the main bus stop in front of the
station. Tickets need to be validated on the bus, and remain valid for 90 minutes from the moment of punching.
